GIVE NOW. Be the Solution — EMPOWER STUDENTS.
In the U.S. 13 million children under 18 live in poverty. These students are twice as likely to drop out of school. Living in poverty increases the chance that a student is abused or neglected—which increases the chance that a student will drop out of school.
The problem: How to connect children to the help they need.
There may be ample resources that could help these students, but rarely is there someone who can connect these resources with schools, with students and with their families.
The solution: Communities in Schools.
We are that someone. Our site coordinators are in school, on-site, coordinating these resources. Giving students one-on-one attention, they become a part of students’ lives – and empower students.
